Throughout the renovation of Östergården, we have used environmentally friendly materials and reused everything we have been able to take advantage of. In the barn we have used old logs and gear wheels etc. to recreate the feeling of the old barn there as well. The furniture for the lodge is bought second hand and the stage wall was formerly used on the old lodge as doors. We have painted with linseed oil paints and used paper cellulose for insulation in the house and both guesthouses and greenhouses are painted in tar vitriol. We cook the food from local ingredients and the food that is left over is recycled in bokashi buckets which we then stir into our pallet collars so we get new soil.
At Herman Lada, we have been working with music since 2017. That’s what we do best. We want to sell an entire experience that is sustainable. A memory for life to save in the heart. We usually say that it was no coincidence that we ended up here. We were supposed to take care of and manage this cultural heritage. A place with so much fine energy and great potential, which asked us to take care of it gently and carefully. The extensive renovation to bring life to the old forgotten farm took us many years but gave us so much in return. Now, with our activities, we have revived this historic place and strengthened the small community and the town through our cultural work.
We like to collaborate with local producers and our staff consists mostly of young people from the local area.
We are like a big family. All in all, we can proudly say that we are part of Hållbarhetsklivet and Greentopia.
